What makes Bij den Boer one of my favorite restaurants in Brussels?
[wp-review]
Bij den Boer, located at Quai aux Briques 60 across from the Sainte Catherine metro station, has been one of my favorite restaurants in Brussels for years. Bij den Boer offers the best price/quality ratio of any restaurant I know. This restaurant has a bustling brasserie atmosphere with a hint of nostalgia.
Everything about Bij den Boer is authentic and good quality. Their menu offers mainly fish and seafood, yet also has several meat options. The best deal is Bij den Boer‘s fixed-price menu featuring four courses (fish soup, appetizer, main course and dessert) for EUR 29.50 in the evening. The fixed-price menu at lunch has three courses (starter, main course and dessert) for EUR 24.50, which is also quite a deal for a business lunch.
I would recommend Bij den Boer without hesitation and suggest you go back as often as you like. It’s one of the first places I think of to take out-of-town guests, as I know in advance they will enjoy the meal. It also won’t matter who picks up the bill because either way it would be worth it.
